Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, the students;

  1. An ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering
  2. An ability to identify, formulate and solve engineering problems
  3. An ability to determine mechanical properties of materials used in prosthodontics
  4. An ability to take and evaluate the mechanical test results of materials used in prosthodontics
Mode of DeliveryFace to face
PrerequisitesNo
Recommended Optional Programme Components
Course DescriptionIn this course,basic introduction of types, mechanical properties and selection of most common materials used in prosthodontics is taught. The tests for the determination of mechanical properites of the standart materials are shown, supoorted with laboratory applications. Students achieving this course gain basic material science konowledge essential for the selection materials considering force-stress-strenght of material relations and also gain the ability to perform standard mechanical tests for determining mechanical properties of materials.
