| Course Description | Sampling of bandlimited waveforms. Characteristics of speech and image signals. Quantization of discrete-time signals. PCM, DPCM, ADPCM systems. Subband coding, adaptive transform coding, source coding. Karhunen-Loeve transform (KLT), DCT, DHT, OWHT. Vector quantization, tree and trellis codes. |
