At the end of this course, the students;
- The appearance of the first museum in Turkey coincides with several other innovations during the last phase of the Ottoman era.
- The cultural and intellectual context of this new institution and the organization and function of the first museums in Turkey are examined.
- To know the importance role of the Osman Hamdi Bey and Halil Ethem Bey in Turkish museology
- Developments in museums after the foundation of Turkish of Republic will be examined.
- Contemporary approaches to administration, exhibition and education in museums will be introduced. Necessities and ideas that cause these changes will be discussed.
