Course DescriptionThis course examines the fundamental components and functioning of the film industry within a historical framework, while also addressing the emergence and transformation of film theories. Throughout the course, changes in production, distribution, and exhibition practices from the early periods of cinema to the present are analyzed, alongside the major film theories that have accompanied these transformations, considered within their historical contexts. In this way, the course aims to provide a comprehensive perspective for understanding the contemporary structure of the film industry by integrating both its historical background and theoretical frameworks.
