At the end of this course, the students;

  1. Describe reasons, stages and types of dependency.
  2. Classify the treatment procedure in dependency.
  3. Describe medical process related to addicted family member (medical support) and legal process (probation, caution related to addicted family member).
  4. Describe systemic family approach in family support process.
  5. Recognize the support channels (psychiatrist, clinical psychologist, family counselor) that may be relevant in the family support process and refer for treatment.

4th Week Dependency, addiction and attachment: The Attachment Theory
5th Week Recognizing addiction, dependency and referring for treatment
6th Week Dependency treatment process: Medical support
7th Week Dependency treatment process: Psychological support
8th Week Midterm
9th Week Dependency treatment process : Legal issues
10th Week Working with family in dependency treatment: Family theories
11th Week Working with family in dependency treatment: Systemic Approach
12th Week Protecting families during dependency treatment process
13th Week Protecting children during dependency treatment process
