Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, the students;

  1. Comprehend the fundamental material and mechanical principles of masonry and apply them in analysis,
  2. Understand the mechanics of masonry elements subjected to bending, shear, and axial forces,
  3. Design safe and efficient masonry structures using seismic codes and develop professional engineering judgment,
  4. Demonstrate technical knowledge regarding special topics such as historical masonry and reinforced systems,
  5. Assess the damage state of existing masonry buildings and select appropriate strengthening techniques.
Mode of DeliveryFace to face
