Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, the students;

  1. Explain the geotechnical behavior and engineering properties of soils, wastes, and by-products used in environmental applications,
  2. Analyze the hydraulic, mechanical, and settlement characteristics of waste materials and landfill systems,
  3. Evaluate the design, stabilization, and performance of solid waste disposal facilities using geotechnical principles,
  4. Assess environmental geotechnical problems and propose sustainable engineering solutions considering environmental impacts.
