Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, the students;

  1. Describe fundamental traffic flow characteristics and the relationships among volume, speed, density, and travel time,
  2. Conduct traffic engineering studies using standard data collection techniques and analyze traffic flow variability using statistical models,
  3. Evaluate the effects of demand and capacity changes on transportation networks using quantitative modeling approaches to support decision-making.
