Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, the students;

  1. Understand and apply basic and advanced structural analysis methods to analyze pavement behavior,
  2. Evaluate the mechanical properties of paving materials and explain their influence on pavement performance,
  3. Analyze the interaction between pavement performance and responses (stresses, strains, deformations) and gain experience in pavement design using well-known design methods.
Mode of DeliveryFace to face
PrerequisitesNo
Recommended Optional Programme ComponentsNone
Course DescriptionTheories, principles and practice in the structural design and construction of highway and airport pavements including stabilization, design of pavement evaluation performance surveys, and the design of asphaltic mixtures.
