| Course Description | Within the scope of the course, the theoretical concepts of change and continuity are examined, and how and in what ways change and continuity have taken place in history are discussed. The extent to which the developments in the political, economic, cultural and popular fields in the last period of the Ottoman Empire were reflected in the changes made under the name of reforms in the first years of the Republic, in other words, the elements that were and were not transferred from a collapsing empire to a newly established Republic are examined. |
