Course DescriptionIn the history of art, it is not possible to find a second phenomenon that has been discussed as much as modernity about the meaning, value, purpose and conditions of existence of art. The aim of the course is to examine these discussions, the relations between them and their results, and to question how they are grounded on slippery and volatile art stages. Different definitions, preferences and propositions of modernity brought to the agenda by these discussions will be discussed separately.
