Course Description
Course Scope and Purpose: This course aims to enable students to learn the basic principles of histochemical staining methods other than routine histochemical staining techniques used in Pathology Laboratory and to apply them on various biological samples. The course aims to enable students to learn the chemical properties specific to the specific cellular structure or tissue to be examined and to choose the appropriate histochemical technique. In this context, it is aimed for students to analyze the tissues or cellular structures stained with the special histochemical techniques they learn in the course in terms of technical accuracy and to propose appropriate solutions when necessary.
