Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, the students;

will gain the necessary skills to plan a scientific research process in one of the social work fields.
will develop an ethical behavior about research.
will learn the research producer and consumer roles of social worker according to generalist social work practice and transfer skills for reading and reviewing scientific literature into practice.
will gain the necessary skills to read and analyze the scientific literature learnt in Social Work Research lesson critically.

Course Description

In this course small groups of students design and conduct a research project in the field of social work to provide knowledge under the supervision of a faculty stuff member. In this period, students are obliged to start research project identifying the problem through reviewing literature and to prapare the research propasal.

Course Contents

1^st Week	Determination of the student groups, meeting with supervisors, discussions about possible research topics
2^nd Week	Literature review about the selected topic and presenting the results as research proposal outline
3^rd Week	Discussion of Research Proposal Outlines in Research Practice Evaluation Committee and announcement of the results
4^th Week	Preparation of the literature review of Research Proposal
5^th Week	Preparation of the literature review of Research Proposal
6^th Week	Preparation of the literature review of Research Proposal; Determination of the research problem
