Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, the students;

They will learn the fundamental concepts and theories regarding gender.
They will gain knowledge about policies regarding women in the world and in Türkiye.
They will acquire knowledge, skills, and values ??regarding social work practices at the micro, mezzo, and macro levels in the field of women's issues.

Course Description

In this course is adressed the emergence of the concepts of gender and gender roles, the theories on the subject, the construction of the body as a cultural and political subject, the applications of the feminist approach in social work, the handling of gender discrimination in the direct / indirect application areas of social work, and the effect of gender inequality on the dynamics in the family.
