At the end of this course, the students;

will develop a conceptual understanding of home care services and their importance
will define the client group in the focus of home care services and the possible benefits and disadvantages of home care services for this client group.
will discuss the roles and duties of the social worker by understanding the importance of social work in the delivery of home care services.
will comprehend the important ethical issues in the delivery of home care services
will discuss and evaluate home care service policies.

Course Description

The course content covers topics such as the types of home care services for people with special needs such as the disabled and the elderly, the organization and management of home care services in Turkey and the world, the role and function of the social worker in home care services, case management in home care services.
