Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, the students;

will identify Ecological/social system framework
will understand human as a bio-psychosocial structure
will understand human bio-psycho-social development in the level of the ecological/environmental concepts such as diversity, social class, poverty, oppression and sexism and diversity of the effects on individuals
will learn about infancy, childhood and adolescence, and for the periods of developmental tasks and developmental requirements and risk and protective factors
will construct a theoretical base for social work intervention.

Course Description

Theories and knowledge of human bio-psycho-social development including theories about the range of social systems in which individual lives, families, groups, organizations, institutions, communities, societies. Theories and problems on infancy, childhood, adolescence and young adulthood in terms of biological, psyho-social environmental aspects.
