Course DescriptionThis course examines the historical development, different genres, and the role of fashion photography in visual culture, with the aim of helping students understand the relationship between fashion and image through photography. Alongside theoretical knowledge, the course covers the technical aspects of photography, including lighting, composition, framing, and shooting techniques, as well as styling, location selection, and model direction. Throughout the course, students produce their own original fashion photographs through creative practices such as collage and image-making exercises, as well as studio and on-location photo shoots. In this process, students experience fashion photography not only as a promotional tool but also as a form of artistic expression.
