At the end of this course, the students;
- Will be able to explain textile fibers, classify textile fibers, natural and chemical fibers. Gain the ability to classify, explain the differences between synthetic and regenerated fibers.
- Gain the ability to explain advanced and functional fibers, to define yarns and production methods, to explain the processes used to produce yarn from staple fibers, to distinguish different types of yarns of different quality, to explain the differences between carded and combed yarns and their production methods.
- Will be able to compare conventional ring yarns and compact yarns with each other, explain the relationship between end product performance and yarn type, describe ring spinning, rotor spinning, rotor spinning and vertex spinning, explain knitted fabrics and their production methods, explain the main differences between woven and knitted fabrics. Gains skill.
- Gain the ability to explain how the fabric is produced in the knitting machine, to define the differences and similarities between knitted fabric types, to explain the main factors affecting the quality of knitted yarn, to define the end-uses of knitted fabric types, to explain the relationship between fabric structure and place of use.
- Will be able to explain weft knitting and warp knitting structures, summarize basic knitted fabric structures, describe fabrics produced using three basic knitted structures (plain, rib and interlock), compare the basic characteristics of fabrics produced from basic knitting structures, distinguish weft knitting and warp knitting fabrics. gains skill.
