Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, the students;

  1. Comprehends the principles of biomechanics.
  2. Gain knowledge and skills for solving problems encountered in different pathologies with biomechanical principles
  3. Gains research planning and application skills by transferring their theoretical knowledge to their applications.
Mode of DeliveryFace to face
PrerequisitesNo
Recommended Optional Programme ComponentsNone
Course DescriptionFundamental biomechanical principles specific to the field of rehabilitation, basic mechanical properties (Newton's Laws, static and dynamic), vector analysis, kinetics and kinematics applied to biomechanics, work/energy evaluation methods, stress/strain, injury prevention, treatment, prosthesis-orthotics and assistive device arrangements. Issues related to biomechanical evaluations will be discussed.
