Course Description

This course covers sheet metal forming techniques including cutting, bending, blanking, punching, spinning, and deep drawing dies; progressive and compound die systems; press machines; strip layout; die design principles; tooling economics; production parameters; quality control; and analysis of forming defects. The course aims to provide students with fundamental technical knowledge and skills required for tool manufacturing, press operation, production planning, and quality control.
