Course DescriptionThis course covers the basic principles, application areas, and industrial characteristics of unconventional welding technologies used in addition to traditional welding methods. The course examines advanced welding methods such as underwater welding, electron beam welding, explosive welding, thermite welding, ultrasonic welding, friction welding, stud welding, plasma welding, cold welding, and electroslag welding. In addition, welding techniques for plastic materials, the detection of welding defects, quality control methods, and safety practices are addressed, with the goal of enabling students to acquire the skills to select, evaluate, and adapt appropriate welding methods for different materials and working conditions for industrial applications.
