Course DescriptionThis course covers the basic principles, industrial applications, and design characteristics of robotic and automation systems used in welding operations. The course compares traditional welding methods with automated welding systems and examines the use of robots, positioners, fixtures, and various automation equipment in welding processes. By examining industrial applications such as circular, column boom, sleeve, chassis, beam, pipe-flange, tank, and overhead welding automation systems, the course evaluates the operating principles, advantages, and areas of application of automated welding processes. Furthermore, by focusing on quality, precision, and repeatability in welding, the course aims to help students become familiar with robotic welding technologies and evaluate industrial automation systems.
