At the end of this course, the students;

  1. Distinguishes vital signs and risky situations by making primary and secondary evaluations of the patient or injured person.
  2. Analyze respiratory, cardiovascular and nervous system diseases and make appropriate clinical assessment.
  3. Makes clinical assessments about the general condition of the patient and intervenes for vital signs.

Course DescriptionAt the end of this course, students perform a primary assessment of the patient or casualty by applying primary assessment techniques. They perform a secondary assessment of the patient or casualty by applying secondary assessment techniques. They evaluate respiratory system diseases and apply emergency care in cases of respiratory distress. They evaluate cardiovascular system diseases and apply emergency care to patients presenting with chest pain. They evaluate nervous system diseases and apply emergency care for nervous system conditions. The objective is for students to assess patients or casualties, recognize system disorders, and perform appropriate interventions. Students who complete the course will possess the knowledge and skills to assess patients and casualties and execute suitable emergency interventions.
