Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, the students;

  1. Explains the basic concepts related to AC current and voltage.
  2. Explains the behavior of resistors, inductors, and capacitors in AC circuits.
  3. Calculates the equivalent impedance in series AC circuits and the current and voltage across circuit elements.
  4. Calculates the equivalent impedance in parallel AC circuits and the current and voltage across circuit elements.
  5. Applies solution methods and theorems for AC circuits (mesh current, node voltage, Thevenin/Norton).
  6. Performs basic measurements using devices such as a multimeter or an oscilloscope.
