Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, the students;

  1. They will be able to perform vector algebra operations and define the concepts of force and moment.
  2. They will be able to draw free body diagrams of material points and rigid bodies in equilibrium and will be able to formulate and solve equilibrium equations.
  3. They will be able to perform force analysis in Lattice Systems, Frames and Machines.
  4. They will be able to calculate the position of the Center of Gravity, Center of Mass and Geometric Center of rigid objects.
  5. They will be able to determine Area Moments of Inertia and Mass Moments of Inertia.
