Course DescriptionArchitectural language is formed by the reflection of numerous factors, including cultural, economic, and social factors, on the architectural product. Politics, as a superstructure institution affecting all of these fields, is one of the most important inputs in the formation of an architectural product. Therefore, it can be argued that the built physical environment carries political content, or that architecture is one of the ways in which the power that directs society reflects and expresses itself to society. In this context, it can be said that the influence of politics can be seen in all architectural formations, especially public buildings, and that architecture and politics together constitute the built physical environment. This interaction is even more strongly evident in investment areas supported by the state, particularly in pursuit of its most fundamental function: economic interests. The aim of the course is to reveal the direct and indirect effects of political sanctions on architecture, as a significant input.
