Learning Outcomes

At the end of this course, the students;

  1. Diagnose and plan treatment for common general surgery and musculoskeletal system diseases in real patients
  2. Perform differential diagnoses for symptoms of common general surgery and musculoskeletal system diseases in real patients
  3. Appropriately refer patients with rare general surgery and musculoskeletal system diseases
  4. Perform common medical procedures on real patients
  5. Appropriately guide patients for rare medical interventions
  6. Systematically approach differential diagnosis for symptoms of general surgery and musculoskeletal system diseases and review relevant literature
  7. Identify emergencies in surgical and musculoskeletal diseases and guide diagnosis and treatment in rare and/or complex cases

Course DescriptionThis clinical practice board aims to enable students to accurately diagnose and treat common general surgery and musculoskeletal diseases, appropriately refer rare cases, recognize emergencies, and guide diagnosis and treatment. It includes case discussions and skill-based training sessions related to these diseases.
Course Contents
WEEK TOPICS
1st Week The course is structured into 11 "tasks," each covering
2nd Week symptoms managed by relevant disciplines. Tasks
3rd Week include:
4th Week 1. Back, neck, and shoulder pain
5th Week 2. Joint pain/swelling, movement restrictions, and motor
6th Week disorders
7th Week 3. Muscle weakness and chronic musculoskeletal pain
8th Week 4. Anorectal pain, melena, and hematemesis
9th Week 5. Abdominal pain, masses, and distension
10th Week 6. Breast pain, discharge, and masses
11th Week 7. Colicky pain (renal, biliary, intestinal), jaundice
12th Week 8. Burns
13th Week 9. Neck masses/swallowing difficulties
