  1. Develop theoretical and critical perspective on novel.
  2. Analyze multi-dimensional structure of a novel by using close reading.
  3. Recognize major novelists and their position in literary history.
  4. Interpret Turkish novels with a text-based approach.

Course DescriptionThis course focuses on the history of Turkish novel. The emergence and the features of the genre as well as theory of the novel and its sub-genres will be discussed.
