Course DescriptionThe aim of this course is to introduce all the production steps of a film project from the very beginning of an idea through sales and distribution from the perspective of the ?producer?.
Course Contents
WEEK TOPICS
1st Week Producer, the production team and film industry through the perspective of a producer; production companies, crew and equipment hiring firms, independent cinema.
2nd Week Project and development of a project through the perspective of a producer, script writing, co-operation of producer-director-script writer.
3rd Week Preparation of the project file, Pitching .
4th Week Financial planning and budget.
5th Week Producer in pre-production; Casting, co-operation with the art director.
6th Week Producer in pre-production; setting the crew and hiring the technical equipments, location research, correspondence, shooting permissions, copyrights.
7th Week Filmmaking and sustainability; green filmmaking.
8th Week Production organization; production schedule and production planning charts.
9th Week Producer in production period; set and field work.
10th Week Producer in post-production; Editing, trailer, press release, promotional activities, archiving, impact assessment.
11th Week Producer in post-production; Distribution and film festivals.
12th Week Funds, national/international funds, sponsorship, co-productions, barter system, product placement, online fund raising.
13th Week Use of artificial intelligence technologies in film production
14th Week Different film genres and different production strategies
