Course Description
In laboratory practices students are supposed to choose a research project topic according to their interests, write the project and complete experimental processes. Throughout the research, students are expected to apply basic molecular techniques such as total DNA and RNA isolation from cells and tissues, electrophoretic visualization of nucleic acids, polymerase chain reaction based research techniques (molecular cloning of genomic regions, reverse-transcriptase PCR, Real Time PCR), restriction enzyme digestion and its applications, DNA sequencing techniques and microarray technology.
