Course DescriptionThis course covers techniques for developing scales designed to collect quantitative data. The course will address scale development approaches used to measure affective characteristics. Students will be required to plan the test development process within the framework of a `psychological construct? of their choice, formulate operational definitions for the relevant construct, prepare a test plan, and develop items accordingly. The course will also provide examples, based on Classical Test Theory, of how reliability and validity studies for test scores should be conducted.
