At the end of this course, the students;

  1. Students learn the basic characteristics of the literature of the National Struggle and the Republican Reforms period.
  2. Students critically evaluate selected texts from the novel, poetry, and short story genres of Republican period Turkish literature within the framework of the conditions of the period.

Course DescriptionThe social change and transformation that started with the National Struggle and the Republic period will be introduced through literary texts. In this course, in which the dynamics shaping modern Turkey will be discussed, the continuities and transformations between the Ottoman and Republican periods will be discussed according to the development line of literary genres.
