At the end of this course, the students;

  1. Gain knowledge about the features of 19th century classical Turkish literature.
  2. Analyze the reasons for the transition from the classical Turkish literature to the new Turkish literature period.
  3. Recognize the leading figures of 19th century classical Turkish literature.
  4. Compares the styles of classical Turkish literature from the beginning to the end.

Course DescriptionThis course introduces the literary history of the 19th century, examines the major poetic figures as well as the representative texts from this period and analyzing the reflections of tradition.
