Course DescriptionShopping areas have been indispensable places for trade and socializing throughout history. Shopping places, which play an important role in the development of cities, have evolved alongside the modernization trend. Today's contemporary shopping centers have become preferred places for socializing, spending time and having fun by providing social and cultural activities in addition to retail. As a result, the purpose of this course is to investigate the social, communal and cultural relations in shopping areas and the effects of these elements on the interior design of modern shopping areas. In this context, it is aimed to make a situation assessment about the changes and transformations in the socio-cultural and environmental structure of the contemporary shopping areas other than the consumption function in the development and transformation process, and then to make an examination and research on contemporary shopping-socializing interiors.
